Symptomatic relief of cough associated with common cold/upper respiratory tract infections, throat irritation and chest congestion.

This cough syrup typically combines a cough suppressant to reduce the cough reflex and expectorant/mucolytic components to loosen mucus and ease its expulsion. Antihistamine/decongestant components (if present) may reduce runny nose and sneezing. Exact mechanism depends on the active ingredients in this brand variant.

Shake well before use. Measure dose with a cup/spoon. Usually taken 2–3 times daily as advised by a doctor; may be taken with or without food. Do not exceed recommended dose; avoid combining with other cough/cold products unless advised.

May cause drowsiness—avoid driving or operating machinery. Use with caution in asthma/COPD, excessive sputum, liver or kidney disease, glaucoma, enlarged prostate/urinary retention, thyroid disease, hypertension or heart disease (depending on ingredients). Not recommended for children without medical advice. Do not use longer than advised; seek medical care if cough persists >7 days, is recurrent, or occurs with fever, rash, or persistent headache. If product contains opioid/antihistamine, risk of sedation and respiratory depression increases with overdose.

Alcohol and other CNS depressants (sedatives, benzodiazepines, opioids), MAO inhibitors (within last 14 days), antidepressants, antipsychotics, antihypertensives (if decongestant present), other cough/cold medicines containing similar ingredients

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
