How It Works
Vizylac contains probiotic bacteria that help replenish beneficial gut flora. It suppresses the growth of harmful organisms, improves intestinal barrier function and supports digestion, thereby reducing diarrhoea and related symptoms.
Directions for Use
Capsule: take as directed by physician; usually taken with/after food with water. If used with antibiotics, keep a gap of at least 2 hours. Do not open/chew unless advised; continue for the prescribed duration.
Use with caution in immunocompromised patients, critically ill patients, those with central venous catheters, or severe illness due to rare risk of bloodstream infection. Stop and seek medical advice if diarrhoea persists >48 hours, severe dehydration, blood in stools, high fever, or severe abdominal pain occurs. Not a substitute for rehydration therapy in acute diarrhoea.
Drug Interactions
Antibiotics (may reduce probiotic effect; separate dosing by 2 hours), antifungals/antimicrobials may reduce activity depending on strain, immunosuppressants (use with caution)
