Spironolactone 25 mg + Torasemide 5 mg
Treatment of edema (fluid retention) associated with heart failure, liver cirrhosis or kidney disease; used as a diuretic combination for resistant edema and to help control blood pressure in some patients as advised by doctor.
Torasemide is a loop diuretic that increases salt and water excretion from the kidneys, reducing fluid overload. Spironolactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic (aldosterone antagonist) that helps remove excess fluid while conserving potassium and counteracting aldosterone-related fluid retention.
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Usually taken orally once daily in the morning (to reduce night-time urination), with or without food; take with food if it upsets your stomach. Do not stop or change dose without medical advice; monitor weight, blood pressure and electrolytes as advised.

May cause dehydration, low blood pressure and electrolyte disturbances; periodic monitoring of serum potassium, sodium and kidney function is required. Risk of hyperkalemia is higher in kidney disease, diabetes, elderly, and when used with ACE inhibitors/ARBs or potassium supplements. Use caution in severe kidney impairment/anuria and in severe liver disease; may worsen gout (raises uric acid). Can cause dizziness—avoid driving if affected.
