How it works

Ambrosol-D Syrup is a combination of four medicines. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromideis a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of the cough center in the brain. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from chest congestion. Guaifenesin works by decreasing the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Triprolidine is an antihistaminic medication. It blocks the action of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation, congestion, itching, and other allergic reactions. This is how Ambrosol-D Syrup works to treat dry cough.

Directions for use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Ambrosol-D Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
