How to take Amisant OD 400 Tablet
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily (OD). Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew. Can be taken with or without food; take at the same time each day and do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Missed dose and overdose

Risk of QT prolongation/arrhythmias; use caution in heart disease, electrolyte imbalance, bradycardia, or with other QT-prolonging drugs. Can cause neuroleptic malignant syndrome (fever, rigidity, confusion)—seek urgent care. May cause tardive dyskinesia and extrapyramidal symptoms. Increases prolactin; caution in breast cancer or prolactin-dependent tumors. Alcohol and other CNS depressants (increased sedation), QT-prolonging medicines (e.g., amiodarone, sotalol, quinidine, certain antibiotics like macrolides/fluoroquinolones, certain antifungals, tricyclics), other antipsychotics, levodopa/dopamine agonists (antagonistic effect), antihypertensives (additive hypotension), medicines causing low potassium/magnesium (e.g., diuretics) increasing QT risk, strong CYP interactions are less prominent but clinical monitoring advised.
