Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Ascabiol Emulsion, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Ascabiol Emulsion than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

How to store Ascabiol Emulsion

Store Ascabiol Emulsion below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Ascabiol Emulsion is prescribed for the treatment of scabies (a condition where tiny insects infest and irritate your skin). Apply a thin layer of this medicine all over the body and leave it for 8-14 hours before taking a bath or shower. Avoid getting it in your eyes, nose, or mouth. If this happens, rinse with water immediately. You will still be itchy for a while after successful treatment. If the itching becomes troublesome to you, consult your doctor to ease this. Moisturizing creams can provide temporary relief from itching. Clothes, towels, and bed linen should be machine-washed with hot water after the first application of treatment. This helps kills the scabies mites.
