Scabelice Lotion 50 ml contains Lindane (1% w/v) + Cetrimide (0.1% w/v). It belongs to the Synthetic pyrethroid (topical scabicide/pediculicide) class of medicines.

How Scabelice Lotion 50 ml works

Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that disrupts sodium channel function in parasites, causing paralysis and death of mites and their eggs. It acts locally on the skin with minimal systemic absorption when used as directed.

How to take Scabelice Lotion 50 ml

For external use only. For scabies: apply a thin layer over clean, dry skin from neck to soles (include between fingers/toes, under nails, groin, buttocks; scalp/face only if advised), leave on 8–14 hours (overnight), then wash off. Usually a single application is effective; repeat after 7 days only if advised or if symptoms persist. Treat close contacts simultaneously and wash clothes/bed linen in hot water or seal for 72 hours.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Apply it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next application, skip the missed one — applying extra does not make up for it.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine is unlikely from skin use; swallowing the preparation may cause stomach upset. It is unlikely from skin use, but swallowing an antiseptic is dangerous and needs immediate medical attention.
