L-Carnitine helps transport long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria for energy production. It supports energy metabolism in muscles and other tissues, especially when carnitine levels are low.

Take as directed by your doctor, preferably with food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow with water; dose and duration depend on indication and lab evaluation.

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, fishy body odour, headache

Use with caution in patients with seizure disorders (may increase seizure risk) and in severe kidney disease. If you have hypothyroidism or are on thyroid hormones, consult your doctor. Not a substitute for a balanced diet; use only as advised in pregnancy/breastfeeding.

Warfarin (may increase INR), thyroid hormones (may reduce effect of levothyroxine in some reports)
