Used as a topical oral astringent for gums; helps in mild gum bleeding, spongy/swollen gums, gum irritation and minor oral sores.
Astringents cause local protein precipitation and vasoconstriction on the mucosa, which helps reduce minor bleeding and oozing. They also tighten tissues, reducing swelling and providing soothing relief in gum irritation.
For topical use in the mouth only. Apply a small amount to the affected gums with a clean finger/cotton swab 2-3 times daily or as directed by a dentist; avoid eating or drinking for 15-30 minutes after application. Do not swallow; rinse mouth if irritation occurs.
Common side effects of ASTRIGUM GUM ASTRINGENT may include:
Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredients. Avoid contact with eyes; do not swallow large amounts. Stop use and consult a dentist/doctor if symptoms persist beyond 5-7 days, if severe pain, pus, fever, or worsening swelling occurs. Use with caution in children; use only under adult supervision. If pregnant/breastfeeding, consult a doctor before use.
