Azithromycin 500 mg (as azithromycin dihydrate) tablet

Uses of AZUSIC-500MG TAB

Bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections (pharyngitis/tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia), ear infections (otitis media), skin and soft tissue infections, certain sexually transmitted infections (e.g., uncomplicated chlamydial urethritis/cervicitis) as prescribed

• •Helps in ear infections (otitis media)
• •Effective for skin and soft tissue infections
• •Used for certain STIs like chlamydia (as prescribed)

How it works

Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. This stops growth of susceptible bacteria and helps clear the infection.

Directions for use

Take by mouth as directed by the doctor. Usually taken once daily; swallow whole with water. Can be taken with or without food (take after food if stomach upset occurs). Complete the full prescribed course; do not skip doses.
