Warnings and precautions

Stop and seek care for allergic reaction (swelling, breathing trouble), severe skin rash, persistent watery/bloody diarrhea (possible C. difficile), or palpitations/fainting. Dose adjustment/monitoring may be needed in hepatic impairment.
Do not take Azusic-500 mg if
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for anyone with a known allergy to macrolide antibiotics, or with certain heart rhythm disorders.
Interactions with other medicines
Antacids containing aluminum/magnesium (reduce absorption—separate by at least 2 hours), warfarin/other anticoagulants (↑ bleeding risk—monitor INR), antiarrhythmics and other QT-prolonging drugs (e.g., amiodarone, sotalol, quinolones, antipsychotics), digoxin (↑ levels), cyclosporine, statins (rare myopathy risk), ergot derivatives (avoid)
