Composition of Biluma Cream

Biluma Cream contains Deionized water, glycerin, niacinamide, liposomal azelaic acid, lipoamino acid, glycolic acid, kojic dipalmitate, arbutin, pterowhite, octadecenedioic acid (and other excipients). It belongs to the Topical skin depigmenting & keratolytic agents (cosmeceutical combination) class of medicines.

How Biluma Cream works

Biluma Cream contains multiple depigmenting and exfoliating actives that reduce melanin formation and help disperse existing pigment. Ingredients like niacinamide and azelaic acid derivatives help inhibit transfer/production of melanin, while glycolic acid promotes gentle exfoliation to fade spots and even out skin tone.

How to take Biluma Cream

For external use only. Apply a thin layer over affected areas on clean, dry skin once daily (preferably at night) or as directed by a dermatologist. Use sunscreen during daytime and avoid contact with eyes, lips and broken/irritated skin.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Biluma as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Biluma than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Biluma Cream

Most side effects of Biluma are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• Mild burning or stinging
• redness
• itching
• dryness
• peeling
• irritation

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Safety advice for Biluma Cream

Warnings and precautions

Patch test before first use. Discontinue and consult a doctor if severe irritation, swelling or allergy occurs. Avoid use on broken skin and avoid excessive sun exposure; daily broad-spectrum sunscreen is recommended. Use with caution in sensitive skin; do not combine with other strong exfoliants/retinoids on the same night unless advised by a dermatologist.

Interactions with other medicines

May increase irritation when used with other topical exfoliants/peels (AHA/BHA), retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, alcohol-based astringents; concurrent use with other depigmenting agents should be guided by a dermatologist.

How to store Biluma Cream

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light and heat. Keep cap tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
