Cadexomer Iodine 0.9% w/w ointment (equivalent to 0.9% available iodine)
Used for management of chronic and infected wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure (bed) sores, traumatic wounds, and burns; helps reduce wound infection and promote healing by debriding slough.
Cadexomer is a starch-based polymer that absorbs wound exudate and debris. It slowly releases iodine, providing broad-spectrum antiseptic action and helping reduce bacterial load and odour, thereby supporting wound healing.
For external use only. Clean the wound and apply a thin layer (about 2–3 mm) of ointment to cover the wound bed; cover with a suitable dressing. Change dressing and reapply as directed (often once daily or when the dressing becomes saturated/colour fades). Do not use for more than advised by a clinician.
