Cephagraine is used for management of migraine and headache symptoms (brand-specific composition unknown).
Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated August 2026
Management of migraine and headache symptoms (brand-specific composition unknown).
Use as directed by a physician. Swallow tablets with water; follow the prescribed dose and frequency. Do not exceed the recommended dose, especially for headache medicines.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Cephagraine as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Cephagraine than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
| Pregnancy | Consult doctor |
|---|---|
| Alcohol | Use with caution (avoid alcohol as it can worsen headaches and increase stomach/liver side effects depending on ingredients) |
| Habit forming | No |
Do not use for prolonged periods without medical advice as overuse of headache medicines can worsen headaches (medication-overuse headache). Consult a doctor before use if you have liver disease, kidney disease, stomach ulcer/bleeding, asthma, heart disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or if you are on blood thinners. Seek urgent help for severe allergic reaction, black stools/vomiting blood, sudden severe headache, weakness/numbness, or vision/speech changes.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Cephagraine. Some combinations can change how Cephagraine works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store at room temperature (below 25–30°C), protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
