Used as a medicated cleansing/lotion for oily skin and acne-prone skin; helps reduce skin oiliness and helps in prevention of acne/blackheads.
Medicated anti-acne lotions typically work by cleansing the skin, removing excess sebum and impurities, and helping keep pores clear. Some formulations may also provide mild keratolytic/antimicrobial action to reduce comedones and acne-causing bacteria; exact mechanism depends on the active ingredients.
For external use only. Apply a small amount on wet skin, gently massage over affected area, and rinse off; or use as directed on the label by your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and broken/irritated skin.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Ceratop as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Ceratop than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Ceratop are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

External use only. Do not apply on broken skin or severe eczema unless advised. Stop use and consult a doctor if severe irritation, swelling or allergic reaction occurs. Avoid eye contact; rinse with plenty of water if it happens. Keep out of reach of children.
If used along with other topical anti-acne/peeling agents (e.g., retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, azelaic acid), irritation and dryness may increase.
