How Dologel Liqiud works

This medicine combines 2 active ingredients: Choline Salicylate and Lidocaine. Choline Salicylate is applied to the skin over a painful area, where it produces a warming or cooling sensation and reduces local pain and inflammation. Lidocaine supports the care of a minor injury or wound.

How to take Dologel Liqiud

Apply a small amount directly on the affected area. Use up to 3-4 times daily after meals.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Dologel Liqiud as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine is unlikely from skin use, but swallowing these preparations can be serious, particularly in children. It is unlikely from external use. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Warnings and precautions

For external use only. Keep it away from the eyes, mouth and broken skin. Do not apply a heating pad or hot water bottle over the treated area — this can cause a burn. Do not bandage tightly over it unless your doctor has told you to. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying, unless your hands are the area being treated. Stop if the skin becomes severely irritated or blisters. For external use only, unless the pack says otherwise. See a doctor for a deep, dirty or heavily bleeding wound, an animal bite, or any wound showing signs of infection. Check that your tetanus cover is current after any dirty or penetrating wound.

Do not take Dologel Liqiud if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for use on broken, infected or badly inflamed skin. Not for use on large burns or deep wounds without medical advice.

Interactions with other medicines

Topical anti-inflammatory gels add to the effect of the same medicine taken by mouth; tell your doctor if you use both. No significant interactions are expected.

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Close the cap tightly after each use. Keep out of the reach of children.
