How Elocon Ointment 10 g works

Elocon Cream is a steroid that works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause redness, swelling, and itching in the skin. How to take Elocon Ointment 10 g

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose of Elocon Cream, apply it as soon as possible. However, if your next dose is near, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Elocon than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Apply Elocon Cream as a thin layer to the affected areas 2-3 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects. If you think the area of skin you are treating has become infected, you should stop using Elocon Cream and consult your doctor.
