Aceclofenac (100mg) + Thiocolchicoside (4mg)
Relief of acute musculoskeletal pain and inflammation associated with muscle spasm such as back pain, neck pain, sprain/strain, sports injury, sciatica and other painful inflammatory conditions.
Aceclofenac is an NSAID that reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting cyclo‑oxygenase (COX) enzymes and decreasing prostaglandin production. Thiocolchicoside is a centrally acting muscle relaxant that helps relieve muscle spasm and associated pain.
Tablet. Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually after food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water; do not crush/chew. Use for the shortest duration needed; avoid exceeding the recommended dose.
Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, diarrhoea, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, increased liver enzymes, skin rash
Prescription (Schedule H) medicine. NSAIDs may cause stomach ulcer/bleeding, kidney injury, fluid retention and increased blood pressure; use with caution in elderly and in patients with history of peptic ulcer, heart disease, kidney or liver disease. Stop and seek medical help if black stools, severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood, chest pain, swelling, or allergic reactions occur. Thiocolchicoside can cause drowsiness/dizziness; avoid driving if affected. Not recommended in pregnancy; avoid in breastfeeding unless advised. Use caution in patients with seizure disorders; thiocolchicoside has been associated with risk of seizures. Avoid concurrent use with other NSAIDs unless advised.
Other NSAIDs/aspirin, anticoagulants (warfarin) and antiplatelets (clopidogrel), corticosteroids, SSRIs/SNRIs, antihypertensives (ACE inhibitors/ARBs/diuretics), methotrexate, lithium, cyclosporine/tacrolimus, alcohol
