Warnings and precautions

Finish the whole course even after you feel better. Do not drink any alcohol while taking metronidazole, ornidazole or tinidazole, or for the period after the course that your doctor states — the combination causes severe flushing, vomiting and a racing heart. Report severe or watery loose motions during or after the course rather than treating them yourself. Tetracyclines stain developing teeth and are avoided in young children and in pregnancy. Antibiotics do not work against colds, flu or most sore throats, which are caused by viruses.

Interactions with other medicines

Antacids, iron, zinc and calcium reduce the absorption of tetracyclines — separate them by a couple of hours. Tell your doctor if you take a blood thinner.

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children.

Fosfona Powder is used to treat and prevent bacterial infections of the urinary tract. Dissolve it in a glass of water and drink immediately, preferably at bedtime, 2 hours after meals (after emptying the bladder). Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks, and drink plenty of water while taking Fosfona Powder. Diarrhea is a common side effect. Inform your doctor if it does not get better or if you see blood in stools. Fosfona Powder may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Symptoms should get better in 2 to 3 days of the single dose treatment. Inform your doctor if you don't feel better after 2 to 3 days.
