Fusidic acid 2% w/w cream (20 mg/g)
Bacterial skin infections (especially staphylococcal) such as impetigo, infected eczema/dermatitis, folliculitis, boils/furuncles, infected wounds/cuts and minor skin infections as advised by a doctor
Fusidic acid is a topical antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by preventing translocation on the ribosome (via elongation factor G). This stops growth of susceptible bacteria, particularly Staphylococcus species, helping clear skin infection.
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer 2–3 times daily or as prescribed. Use for the full duration advised; avoid contact with eyes, mouth and inside nose unless directed. Wash hands before and after application.
Common side effects of FUSIWIN CREAM 5GM may include:
Do not use if allergic to fusidic acid or any ingredient. Avoid prolonged or repeated use and large-area application unless advised, as it may promote antibiotic resistance. Use with caution on broken skin and near eyes; stop and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling, or signs of allergy occur. Not for fungal/viral skin infections. In infants/children use only on medical advice.
