Gabapentin (400mg) + Nortriptyline (10mg/gm)

Uses of Gabastone Nt.

Neuropathic (nerve) pain such as diabetic neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia, radiculopathy/sciatica-related neuropathic pain, and other chronic nerve pain conditions as prescribed.

How it works

Gabapentin reduces abnormal nerve signalling by binding to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the CNS, thereby decreasing release of excitatory neurotransmitters. Nortriptyline (a tricyclic antidepressant) increases levels of norepinephrine and serotonin in pain pathways and also modulates sodium channels, enhancing pain control.

Directions for use

Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at night or in divided doses. Can be taken with or without food; taking after food may reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water; do not stop suddenly without medical advice.
