How to take Ketopz Cream

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Ketopz Cream, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine is unlikely from skin use; swallowing the preparation may cause stomach upset. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Ketopz Cream

Most side effects of Ketopz are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Safety advice for Ketopz Cream

Warnings and precautions

Keep applying for the full period your doctor stated, usually two to four weeks, and for a week or two after the rash has cleared. Stopping when it looks better is why ringworm keeps coming back. Apply a little beyond the visible edge of the patch — the fungus extends further than the redness. Do not use a combination cream containing a steroid on a fungal infection unless a doctor has specifically prescribed it. The steroid calms the redness while the fungus spreads underneath. See a doctor if the rash covers a large area, involves the scalp or nails, or has not improved in two weeks — these usually need tablets as well.

How to store Ketopz Cream

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Close the cap tightly after each use. Keep out of the reach of children.

Do not stop early; continue using it for the full treatment duration, even if the infection improves. Stopping too soon can lead to the infection returning. Wash your hands after applying Ketopz Cream (unless you are treating your hands) to avoid spreading the infection. Avoid tight clothing and wear loose, breathable fabrics to keep the area dry and prevent irritation. Do not share towels, clothes, or personal items, as fungal infections can spread easily. Apply it about 1 inch beyond the visible edge of the infection. This helps treat areas of infection that may not be visible on the skin. Wait 20–30 minutes after application before using moisturizers or sunscreen on the same area. Do not use it on open wounds, deep cuts, or severely oozing skin unless advised by your doctor.
