A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Konaz Soap 75GM. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
Ketoconazole 2% w/w medicated soap (typical)
Fungal skin infections such as tinea (ringworm), athlete’s foot, jock itch; helps control dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis due to Malassezia (when used on affected skin/scalp as advised).
Ketoconazole is an imidazole antifungal that inhibits fungal sterol (ergosterol) synthesis by blocking 14‑alpha demethylase. This damages the fungal cell membrane and stops fungal growth, relieving itching, scaling and redness.
For external use only. Wet skin, apply soap to affected area, lather and leave on for 1–2 minutes, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Use once daily or as directed by a doctor; avoid contact with eyes, mouth and open wounds.

All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Do not use on broken/oozing skin unless advised. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or allergic reaction occurs. Avoid eyes; if contact occurs rinse with plenty of water. If symptoms persist beyond 2–4 weeks or worsen, consult a doctor.
