Moxifloxacin 0.5% w/v ophthalmic solution (5 mg/mL)
Bacterial eye infections such as bacterial conjunctivitis; treatment of susceptible bacterial infections of the external eye as prescribed by an ophthalmologist
Moxifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. This blocks bacterial DNA replication and repair, leading to bacterial cell death and resolution of infection.
For ophthalmic use only. Instill the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s) as directed by the doctor, usually 2–3 times daily. Wash hands before use, avoid touching the dropper tip, and remove contact lenses before use (reinsert only if advised).
Common side effects of Moxiqr Eye Drops may include:

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Moxiqr Eye Drops. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
For external use in eyes only; do not inject or swallow. Stop and seek medical advice if rash, swelling, severe eye pain, worsening redness/discharge, or vision changes occur. Use with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to quinolones. Avoid wearing contact lenses during active infection unless advised by doctor. Prolonged use may lead to overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms.
