Pantoprazole 40 mg (as enteric-coated tablet)
Acid reflux (GERD), heartburn, erosive esophagitis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, Zollinger–Ellison syndrome; prevention of NSAID-induced ulcers (as prescribed)
Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that irreversibly blocks the gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) in stomach parietal cells. This reduces gastric acid secretion and helps heal acid-related damage to the food pipe and stomach.
Oral tablet (usually enteric-coated). Take as directed by doctor, typically once daily 30–60 minutes before food (preferably before breakfast). Swallow whole; do not crush or chew.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Panlife 40MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Use with caution in severe liver disease. Long-term or high-dose use may increase risk of low magnesium, vitamin B12 deficiency, bone fractures, and certain infections (e.g., C. difficile diarrhea). Seek medical help for persistent diarrhea, black stools, vomiting blood, unexplained weight loss, or difficulty swallowing. May mask symptoms of gastric cancer—evaluate alarm symptoms before prolonged use.
