Composition of Secure Tablet
Secure Tablet contains Potassium Nitrate (5%w/w) + Sodium Monofluorophosphate (0.7%w/w) + Triclosan (0.3%w/w).
How Secure Tablet works
Secure Dent Gel is a combination of three medicines: Potassium Nitrate, Sodium Monofluorophosphate and Triclosan. Potassium Nitrate works by calming the nerves in the teeth to reduce sensitivity from hot and cold foods. Sodium Monofluorophosphate works by making the teeth stronger and preventing decay (cavity) caused by bacteria. Triclosan kills the harmful bacteria and fungi by attacking their outer covering.
How to take Secure Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Secure Dent Gel may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose
Take the missed dose of Secure as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
If you take too much
Taking more Secure than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
