How Senzmox Kt Eye Drops works

Senzmox KT Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Ketorolac and Moxifloxacin which treat eye infections. Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the eye. Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing.

Warnings and precautions

Use only under medical advice. Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredient. Stop use and seek medical help if severe eye pain, swelling, rash, worsening redness, or vision changes occur. If wearing contact lenses, remove before use and reinsert after 15 minutes (or as advised). Do not share eye drops. Use within 4 weeks of opening unless label states otherwise.

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with an active stomach ulcer, severe kidney or heart failure, or asthma triggered by aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Not in the third trimester of pregnancy. Generally avoided in children and adolescents, in pregnancy, and in anyone with a history of tendon problems with these antibiotics.

If using other eye drops/ointments, separate by 5–10 minutes; apply eye ointment last. Other interactions depend on actual ingredients.

How to store Senzmox Kt Eye Drops

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light. Do not freeze. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Your doctor has prescribed Senzmox KT Eye Drop to cure your eye infection and improve your symptoms. Use it twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. If it does, squeeze out two or three drops straightaway onto some tissue and rinse the tip with saltwater. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after putting the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye. Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up. Eye infections can cause your eyes to become more sensitive to sunlight than usual. Wearing sunglasses may help to prevent this. Along with using Senzmox KT Eye Drop, give a warm compress to your eyes to get relief from itching and burning sensation. Take care to avoid spreading the infection from one eye to the other, and to other members of your family. Washing your hands regularly (particularly after touching your eyes) and not sharing towels or pillows will help to prevent the infection from spreading.
