Sf Para Suspension is used for pain relief Treatment of Fever.
Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated September 2026
Pain relief Treatment of Fever
Para Para 125mg/5ml Syrup possesses analgesic (pain-reliever) and antipyretic (lowers body temperature) properties. It provides relief by blocking certain chemical messengers and pathways in the brain that send signals about pain and fever.
Take the missed dose of Sf Para as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Sf Para than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Sf Para are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
| Kidney | Kidney CAUTION |
|---|---|
| Liver | Liver UNSAFE |
| Habit forming | No |
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Sf Para. Some combinations can change how Sf Para works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Sf Para below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
Give Para Para 125mg/5ml Syrup to your child with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Your child should not take more than four doses of this medicine in 24 hours, so wait up to 6 hours between doses. Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects. Inform the doctor if your child has liver disease as the dose may need to be adjusted. If Para Para 125mg/5ml Syrup does not seem to be helping your child, contact your doctor for advice. Do not give extra doses.
