Symptomatic relief of cough and throat irritation; helps soothe sore throat and throat dryness associated with common cold.
Medicated lozenges provide a local soothing/demulcent effect on the throat lining, reducing irritation and the urge to cough. Some formulations may also have mild antiseptic action to reduce throat discomfort.
Dissolve 1 lozenge slowly in the mouth; do not chew or swallow whole. Repeat every 2–3 hours as needed, as per label/doctor advice. Not to be used in young children who may choke.

Do not exceed the recommended number of lozenges. Consult a doctor if cough persists beyond 7 days, is accompanied by fever, rash, persistent headache, breathing difficulty, or produces thick/colored sputum. Use with caution in diabetes if the lozenges contain sugar. Stop use and seek medical help if signs of allergy occur.
