Betahistine (48mg)
Treatment of Ménière’s disease and vestibular vertigo; helps reduce episodes of dizziness/vertigo, tinnitus (ringing in ears), nausea/vomiting associated with inner ear disorders
Betahistine is a histamine analogue that improves microcirculation in the inner ear by vasodilation and reducing endolymphatic pressure. It also modulates histamine receptors in the vestibular nuclei, helping reduce vertigo symptoms.
Take orally exactly as prescribed. Swallow the tablet whole with water (do not crush/chew); usually taken once daily (OD) preferably after food or with food to reduce stomach upset. Continue regularly for best benefit.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Vertirest OD 48MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Use with caution in patients with bronchial asthma, peptic ulcer disease/history of ulcer, and low blood pressure. Seek medical help if allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty) occur. Not recommended for children unless prescribed. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult ENT/doctor.
