Treatment of Severe bacterial infections
Walamycin Suspension is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by destroying the bacterial cell membrane.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Walamycin Suspension may be taken with or without food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Walamycin Suspension, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Walamycin than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Walamycin are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Store below 25°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep bottle tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
Walamycin Suspension is an antibiotic that is taken orally to treat infections of stomach or intestines. It may also be used to kill the natural bacteria that are present in the stomach before surgery on the stomach. Do not use it for any other types of bacterial infections. Finish the prescribed course, even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
