Treatment of diabetes mellitus to control high blood sugar in type 1 diabetes and in type 2 diabetes when insulin is required; may be used in combination with other antidiabetic medicines as advised

How it works

Regular human insulin replaces/supplements the body’s insulin. It helps glucose enter muscle and fat cells and reduces glucose production by the liver, thereby lowering blood sugar levels.

Directions for use

For subcutaneous injection using a compatible insulin pen/syringe as prescribed. Usually injected 30 minutes before meals; dose and timing depend on blood glucose, diet and activity. Rotate injection sites (abdomen, thigh, upper arm) and do not inject into areas that are red, swollen or scarred. Do not share cartridges/pens; use only if solution is clear and colorless unless advised otherwise.
