How it works

Xemlina M 500mg/2.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: metformin and linagliptin. Metformin is an antidiabetic medication (biguanide). It lowers glucose production in the liver, slows glucose absorption in the intestine, and improves the body's insulin sensitivity. Linagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, increases insulin release from the pancreas and reduces hormones that raise blood sugar levels. This reduces both fasting and post-meal sugar levels. Together, they provide better control of blood sugar.
