How Xerospray Spray works

Xerospray is an oral moisturising spray that coats the mouth lining and helps retain moisture, providing lubrication. It may stimulate salivary flow and reduce discomfort, difficulty in swallowing and speaking associated with dry mouth.

How to take Xerospray Spray

For oral use only. Spray 1–2 puffs inside the mouth (on cheeks/tongue) as needed, especially before meals or at bedtime. Avoid eating or drinking for a few minutes after use; follow label instructions if provided.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Xerospray as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Xerospray than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Xerospray Spray

Most side effects of Xerospray are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• Temporary altered taste
• mild mouth/throat irritation
• nausea (rare)
• hypersensitivity reactions (rare)

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Do not use if allergic to any ingredient. Avoid spraying into eyes or inhaling into the airway. If mouth ulcers, persistent burning, swelling, rash, or symptoms persist/worsen, consult a doctor/dentist. Use in children, pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice due to limited product-specific data.

Interactions with other medicines

No known clinically significant drug interactions for saliva substitutes/oral moisturising sprays; if you use other oral gels/sprays, space use by 10–15 minutes.

How to store Xerospray Spray

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from heat and direct sunlight. Keep cap closed, do not freeze, keep out of reach of children.
