Zaper-Dsr Capsule contains Domperidone (30mg) + Rabeprazole (20mg). It belongs to the Proton pump inhibitor (Pantoprazole) + Dopamine D2 receptor antagonist prokinetic/antiemetic (Domperidone) class of medicines.

How Zaper-Dsr Capsule works

Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid secretion by blocking the gastric H+/K+ ATPase pump. Domperidone is a prokinetic/antiemetic that enhances gastric motility and reduces nausea by blocking peripheral dopamine (D2) receptors.

How to take Zaper-Dsr Capsule

Take orally as directed by a doctor, usually 1 capsule once daily 30 minutes before food (preferably before breakfast). Swallow whole; do not crush or chew as it is enteric-coated/SR.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause drowsiness, disorientation and abnormal muscle movements. It may cause confusion, blurred vision, sweating and a fast heartbeat. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Warnings and precautions

Use with caution in liver disease. Domperidone may increase risk of QT prolongation/serious arrhythmias—avoid in patients with known QT prolongation, significant heart disease, electrolyte imbalance, or when using QT-prolonging medicines. Long-term PPI use may be associated with low magnesium/vitamin B12, fracture risk, and C. difficile-associated diarrhea; use lowest effective dose. Seek medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, unexplained weight loss, or persistent symptoms.

Do not take Zaper-Dsr if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with bleeding, blockage or perforation of the gut, or with certain heart rhythm disorders.

Interactions with other medicines

QT-prolonging drugs (e.g., amiodarone, sotalol, quinidine, some antipsychotics/antidepressants), strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, itraconazole, clarithromycin, erythromycin, ritonavir) increase domperidone levels; warfarin (monitor), methotrexate (high-dose; PPI may increase levels), drugs needing acidic pH for absorption (e.g., ketoconazole, atazanavir, erlotinib), digoxin (monitor), antacids may be spaced if needed

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
