Famotidine 40 mg
Treatment and prevention of acid-related disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, gastritis, duodenal/gastric ulcers, and hyperacidity.
Famotidine is an H2-receptor antagonist that reduces gastric acid secretion by blocking histamine H2 receptors on gastric parietal cells. This lowers acid output and helps relieve acidity symptoms and promotes ulcer healing.
Tablet for oral use. Take as advised by your doctor, usually once daily (often at bedtime) or as prescribed; may be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised.

Use with caution in kidney impairment (dose adjustment may be needed). Seek medical advice if symptoms persist/worsen or if there is alarm symptoms (vomiting blood, black stools, unexplained weight loss, difficulty swallowing). Long-term use should be under medical supervision. Hypersensitivity to famotidine/other H2 blockers is a contraindication.
