Alprazolam 1 mg
Treatment of anxiety disorders, short-term relief of anxiety symptoms, panic disorder (with or without agoraphobia).
Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine that enhances the effect of GABA, an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. This calms excessive neuronal activity, reducing anxiety and panic symptoms and causing sedation.
Take by mouth as prescribed by a doctor. Usually taken once to multiple times daily; may be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet with water; do not increase dose or stop suddenly—tapering is required to avoid withdrawal.
Common side effects of ZOLAX 1 10`S may include:
Prescription-only medicine. Can cause sedation, impaired driving/operating machinery and increased risk of falls. Risk of dependence, abuse and withdrawal—use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration; do not stop abruptly. Use with caution in elderly, liver disease, respiratory disease (e.g., COPD, sleep apnoea), depression or suicidal risk. Avoid concomitant opioids and other CNS depressants due to risk of profound sedation and respiratory depression. Not recommended in patients with a history of substance misuse unless closely supervised.
