How Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops works

Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops is an antibiotic. It treats bacterial eye/ear infections by preventing the bacteria from dividing and repairing. It does so by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase.

How to take Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops

This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Discard the bottle one month after you first open it, even if some is left. Keep out of the reach of children.

Wash your hands before and after applying Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops to prevent contamination or spread of infection. Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye, eyelid, ear, or any surface to avoid contamination of the medicine. If you are using other eye or ear drops, wait at least 5–10 minutes between applications. Your vision may be temporarily blurred after applying Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops, so avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision clears. Gently press the inner corner of your eye for about 1 minute after applying Zoxan Eye/Ear Drops to help the medicine remain in your eye. Avoid wearing contact lenses until the infection has completely cleared, and your doctor advises it is safe to do so. Use separate towels, pillowcases, or personal items to help prevent the spread of eye infections to others. Discard any remaining medicine at the end of the treatment course or according to the storage instructions provided.
