Paracetamol (1000mg)

Relief of fever and mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, body ache, backache, muscle pain, joint pain, and pain associated with common cold/flu.

Paracetamol reduces fever by acting on the temperature-regulating center in the brain. It also relieves pain by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, lowering pain signals.

Tablet for oral use. Take as advised by doctor; commonly 1 tablet as needed for pain/fever, with or without food (prefer after food if stomach upset). Do not exceed the recommended total daily dose and keep a gap of at least 4–6 hours between doses.

Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, rash, allergic reactions, elevated liver enzymes (with high doses)

Do not use with other paracetamol-containing products to avoid overdose. Use with caution in liver disease, chronic alcoholism, malnutrition, dehydration, and severe kidney disease. Overdose can cause serious/life-threatening liver damage—seek urgent medical help if excess dose is taken. Stop and consult a doctor if rash/allergy occurs or fever/pain persists.

Alcohol, warfarin/other anticoagulants (with prolonged use), enzyme inducers (rifampicin, carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital), isoniazid, cholestyramine, metoclopramide/domperidone

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
