Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), especially when single-drug therapy is inadequate; helps reduce risk of cardiovascular events associated with uncontrolled BP.

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II, lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that dilates arteries by reducing calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle, improving blood flow and further reducing BP.

Take by mouth as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow whole with water. Do not stop abruptly; regular BP monitoring is advised.

Dizziness, headache, ankle/foot swelling (edema), flushing, fatigue, palpitations, nausea

May cause dizziness—use caution while driving. Monitor blood pressure, kidney function and potassium levels, especially in elderly or those with kidney disease. Use caution in dehydration/low BP, heart failure, or aortic stenosis. Telmisartan can harm the unborn baby—avoid during pregnancy. Inform doctor if you have liver disease; dose adjustment/monitoring may be needed.

Potassium supplements/salt substitutes, potassium-sparing diuretics (e.g., spironolactone), ACE inhibitors or aliskiren (risk of renal impairment/hyperkalemia), NSAIDs (reduced effect/renal risk), lithium (increased lithium levels), other antihypertensives (additive BP lowering), strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (may increase amlodipine levels)

Store below 25°C, protected from moisture and light. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
