C-Fix 200 LB Tablet

C-Fix 200 Lb Tablet contains Cefixime 200 mg + Lactic Acid Bacillus (probiotic) (strength not specified). Prescription required.

Bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections (pharyngitis/tonsillitis, bronchitis), ear infections (otitis media), urinary tract infections, and typhoid fever (as prescribed). Probiotic component helps prevent antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.

Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death. Lactic Acid Bacillus is a probiotic that helps restore normal gut flora and may reduce diarrhoea during/after antibiotic therapy.

Take by mouth exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Usually taken once daily or as advised; can be taken with or without food (take with food if stomach upset occurs). Swallow tablet whole with water and complete the full course even if you feel better.

Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, indigestion, gas, headache, dizziness, skin rash

Use only for bacterial infections; not effective for viral illnesses. Do not use if allergic to cefixime/other cephalosporins; caution if history of severe penicillin allergy. Use with caution in kidney disease (dose adjustment may be needed) and in history of colitis/antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Seek urgent care for severe rash, facial swelling, breathing difficulty, or persistent/severe diarrhoea.

Warfarin/other anticoagulants (may increase bleeding risk/INR), Probenecid (may increase cefixime levels), live bacterial vaccines such as oral typhoid vaccine (reduced effect), antacids/iron supplements may reduce absorption if taken together (separate by a few hours)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
