Prevention and treatment of superficial fungal skin infections such as tinea (ringworm), athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and candidal intertrigo in skin folds; helps relieve itching, redness and irritation due to fungal infection.
Clotrimazole is an azole antifungal that inhibits synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This damages the membrane, stops fungal growth and helps clear the infection while reducing associated symptoms.
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly, then dust a thin layer of powder 2–3 times daily or as directed by a doctor. Keep skin folds and feet dry; continue use for the full course (often 2–4 weeks) and for a few days after symptoms improve to reduce recurrence.
Burning, stinging, itching, redness, irritation, dryness, rash
Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and broken skin. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation/allergic reaction occurs or if no improvement after 2 weeks (or symptoms worsen). Not for scalp/nail infections. Keep the area dry; do not share towels/clothing. Use in children, pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice; do not apply to nipple area before feeding.
No significant systemic drug interactions expected with topical clotrimazole; avoid applying with other topical products on the same area unless advised (may increase irritation).
Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep container tightly closed and out of reach of children.
