Herbal/nutraceutical syrup commonly used as an adjuvant for cough, cold and throat irritation; may help soothe sore throat and support respiratory comfort.

Likely works by soothing the throat and reducing irritation that triggers coughing. Herbal ingredients in such syrups may help loosen mucus and provide mild anti-inflammatory/antimicrobial support, depending on the formulation.

Oral syrup. Shake well before use. Take the measured dose as advised on the label/by a physician; can be taken after food. Use a measuring cup/spoon; do not exceed the recommended dose.

Nausea, stomach upset, diarrhea, allergic reactions (rash/itching)

Check label for exact ingredients if you have allergies (herbs, honey, menthol, etc.). Use with caution in diabetes (may contain sugar), pregnancy/breastfeeding, and in children—consult a doctor. Seek medical advice if cough persists >7 days, is recurrent, or is accompanied by high fever, wheezing, breathlessness, chest pain, or blood in sputum.

If it contains sedating antihistamines/expectorants, may add to drowsiness with other CNS depressants. Herbal ingredients may interact with anticoagulants/antiplatelets—check exact composition on pack before use with such medicines.
