Gel
Temporary relief of pain and discomfort in the mouth such as toothache, gum pain, mouth ulcers (stomatitis), and irritation due to dental procedures or dentures.
Dental analgesic gels generally contain a local anaesthetic that numbs the area by blocking nerve signal conduction. This reduces pain sensations at the site of application for a short duration.
For topical oral use only. Apply a small amount to the affected tooth/gum/ulcer using a clean finger or cotton bud 2–3 times daily or as advised by a dentist/doctor. Avoid eating or drinking immediately after application to allow it to act.
Temporary burning or stinging, numbness, altered taste, local irritation or redness, allergic reaction (rare)
Do not use if allergic to local anaesthetics or any ingredient. Avoid applying to large areas, deep wounds, or for prolonged periods without medical advice. Do not swallow intentionally; avoid contact with eyes. Seek medical help if severe swelling, rash, breathing difficulty, or persistent pain/ulcers >7 days. Use with caution in children; follow dentist/doctor advice.
If the gel contains a local anaesthetic (e.g., lignocaine/benzocaine), caution with other local anaesthetics or antiarrhythmic medicines (e.g., mexiletine) due to additive effects. Other interactions depend on exact composition.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from heat and light. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.
