Digestion/antacid combinations typically neutralize excess stomach acid and help reduce gas formation in the stomach and intestine. This improves symptoms such as heartburn, bloating and discomfort after meals.
Take as advised by a doctor/pharmacist. Usually taken after meals and/or at bedtime. Swallow tablet with water; do not exceed the recommended dose. If symptoms persist beyond a few days, seek medical advice.
Nausea, constipation, diarrhea, stomach upset, belching, chalky taste
Do not use for prolonged periods without medical advice. Use with caution in kidney disease, severe constipation/diarrhea, or if you have low phosphate levels. Seek urgent care for severe abdominal pain, blood in stools/vomit, unexplained weight loss, or difficulty swallowing. Not a substitute for evaluation of persistent/recurrent acidity.
May reduce absorption of tetracyclines/fluoroquinolones, iron supplements, levothyroxine, bisphosphonates and some antifungals; keep a 2–4 hour gap. If formulation contains simethicone, interactions are minimal.
