Magaldrate 400 mg + Simethicone 20 mg per 5 ml (orange flavour, sugar free)

Relief from acidity (heartburn), indigestion (dyspepsia), gas/flatulence, bloating, sour stomach; symptomatic relief in gastritis and gastro-oesophageal reflux (GERD).

Magaldrate is an antacid that neutralizes excess stomach acid and reduces irritation in the stomach and food pipe. Simethicone is an anti-foaming agent that breaks gas bubbles, helping reduce bloating and discomfort.

Oral gel/syrup. Shake well before use. Take as advised on the label/doctor, usually after meals and at bedtime. Keep a 2-hour gap from other medicines (especially antibiotics/thyroid/iron) to avoid reduced absorption.

Chalky taste, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, belching

Use with caution in kidney disease (risk of magnesium/aluminium accumulation) and in elderly. Do not use for prolonged periods without medical advice. Seek medical help if symptoms persist/worsen, or if you have severe abdominal pain, vomiting, blood in stools, unexplained weight loss, or difficulty swallowing. Maintain spacing from other oral medicines.

Tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones (e.g., ciprofloxacin/ofloxacin), levothyroxine, iron salts, bisphosphonates (e.g., alendronate), digoxin, azole antifungals—antacids can reduce absorption; separate by 2-4 hours as appropriate.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from light. Do not freeze. Keep bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
