How It Works
Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide neutralize excess stomach acid and reduce irritation of the stomach lining. Simethicone breaks down gas bubbles in the gut, easing bloating and discomfort.
Directions for Use
Chew the tablet thoroughly and swallow; do not swallow whole. Commonly taken after meals and at bedtime or as directed by a doctor. Keep a gap of at least 2 hours from other medicines.
Use with caution in kidney disease or on long-term use (risk of electrolyte imbalance and accumulation). Do not exceed recommended dose or use for prolonged periods without medical advice. Seek medical help if symptoms persist beyond 1–2 weeks, or if you have severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood, black stools, unexplained weight loss, or difficulty swallowing. May reduce absorption of many medicines—separate dosing.
Drug Interactions
Tetracyclines, fluoroquinolone antibiotics (e.g., ciprofloxacin/levofloxacin), levothyroxine, iron salts, bisphosphonates (e.g., alendronate), digoxin, ketoconazole/itraconazole—take these at least 2–4 hours apart
