On dissolving in water, the effervescent salts form an alkaline solution. It neutralizes excess stomach acid and provides quick symptomatic relief from heartburn and acidity.
Empty contents of 1 sachet into a glass of water, allow to dissolve completely and drink immediately. Usually taken after meals or when symptoms occur; follow label/doctor advice. Do not swallow the powder directly.

Use with caution in kidney disease, heart failure, hypertension, fluid retention or on a sodium-restricted diet (may contain sodium). Do not exceed recommended dose or use for prolonged periods without medical advice. Seek medical help if symptoms persist, recur frequently, or if you have severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood, black stools, or unexplained weight loss.
May reduce absorption/effect of some medicines if taken together; separate by at least 2 hours from antibiotics (e.g., tetracyclines/quinolones), iron supplements, levothyroxine, azole antifungals, and other drugs requiring acidic stomach pH. Concomitant use with other sodium-containing products may increase sodium load.
