Bacterial infections (only if it contains doxycycline; exact indication depends on confirmed composition).

If this product contains doxycycline, it is a tetracycline antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit. This stops growth of susceptible bacteria and helps clear infection.

Capsule: take exactly as prescribed. Commonly taken with a full glass of water; avoid lying down for 30 minutes after taking. Often advised to take 1–2 hours before/after milk, antacids or iron supplements; timing with food depends on tolerance and prescriber advice.

If doxycycline: antacids/aluminium-magnesium products, calcium supplements/dairy, iron, zinc (reduce absorption); isotretinoin/retinoids (increased risk of intracranial hypertension); warfarin (may increase anticoagulant effect); penicillins (possible reduced efficacy); enzyme inducers like phenytoin/carbamazepine/barbiturates (may reduce doxycycline levels); oral typhoid vaccine (reduced response).

Store below 25°C, protect from light and moisture, keep in original blister/strip, keep out of reach of children.
