Drez Ointment

Drez Ointment contains Povidone Iodine (5% w/w) + Tinidazole (1% w/w) + Sucralfate (7% w/w) and is used for bacterial skin infections. Prescription required.

Bacterial skin infections

Drez S Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Povidone Iodine, Tinidazole and Sucralfate. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic. It slowly releases iodine which kills or prevents the growth of infectious microorganisms. Tinidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Sucralfate is protectant which covers the damaged tissue and protects it against injury to facilitate healing.

Use as directed by physician or as per label. Apply a thin layer to the affected area (external use) unless prescribed otherwise.

Application site burning, irritation, redness, itching, allergic reaction

Composition not confirmed; check pack/label. External use only. Avoid eyes, mouth and mucosa unless directed. Do not use on large broken skin areas without medical advice. Stop use if severe irritation occurs.

May interact with other topical medicines applied at the same site (additive irritation)

Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct light. Keep tube tightly closed.
