Tablet
Relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute musculoskeletal pain, acute gouty arthritis, and dental/post-operative pain (as prescribed).
Etoricoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor (NSAID). It reduces the formation of prostaglandins responsible for pain, swelling and inflammation, while sparing COX-1 to a greater extent than non-selective NSAIDs.
Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily; may be taken with or without food (food may delay onset). Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration; swallow with water and do not exceed the recommended dose.

Not recommended in active peptic ulcer/bleeding, severe heart failure, established ischemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease or cerebrovascular disease. Use with caution in hypertension, fluid retention/edema, kidney or liver impairment, elderly patients, dehydration, and history of ulcers/GI bleeding. May increase risk of cardiovascular thrombotic events; monitor blood pressure and avoid long-term/high-dose use unless advised. Stop and seek care if chest pain, shortness of breath, black stools, vomiting blood, severe rash or allergic symptoms occur.
